No Control is a great, clattering three-ring-circus of a song, whose brash guitar riff was first conceived by RE-VO and Carruthers in 1988. In 2018, Sacred Machines adapted the phrase to this sardonic anthem of praise for the American Fascist dictator Donald T****. The main hook, “I’m gonna play along with you,” is a tragic echoing of the deluded mantras of beleaguered, duped American citizens who fell for the Populist autocrat’s neo-Nazi propaganda, and, to this day, hang upon the Donald’s every word.
